The Learning Hub is part of our eLearning vision at Silverstream School. It houses our school library collection and with the support of the Board and the Fundraising Team we have bought new flexible furniture, 8 laptops, 8 ipads and an Apple TV. This means that even if your child is not in an eLearning classroom this year they have access to all the IT learning tools that are in these classrooms. |

Our new logo is - The Learning Hub the place to be! Learning- because it's all about learning and engagement. The Hub - because we see the Learning Hub as being the heart of Silverstream School! |

At lunchtimes you can see children reading and sharing books, iPads and laptops.Reference books are open as well as the favorite Hairy Mcleary series. Other children interact with National Geo Kids, Kiwi Kids News and Fact Monster online while yet others can read and listen to audio books. |

We have a cosy silent reading space called the Treehouse with comfortable chairs so children can read undisturbed. |
To see children engaged and actively seeking out extra learning time at lunchtime is so exciting and just what we want to see more of. |
