Bookends

We needed to revamp our bookends!

Room 15 came to the rescue!

They have drawn their favourite book characters onto paper.

Then we painted the bookends red and covered the drawings with contact.

                                            Awesome job!

 Incredible Edibles is a hanging wall in the quiet reading space.
It is made up of seed packets!
Ako Nui are learning about Health and Food.
We have some awesome books about FOOD, COOKING, GARDENING and HEALTH.
They are on the white display shelf ready for you to issue.

I Spy Toys

 Ako Iti and Ako Wanake are learning about TOYS. 

Push/ pull toys and they will even make some toys.

In the display case we have an "I SPY TOYS" activity for you.

RIO 2016 Olympics

Welcome to the Olympics!
Have you seen the flag of Brazil?
Do you know where Rio is?
We have flags and maps of all the countries in the games just waiting for you to match up.
Mrs Henderson has kindly loaned us her son's Olympic uniform from when he was in the 2008 games.

We have a whole shelf of books about the games and all the sports being played for you to loan.

Craig Henderson played Football for New Zealand in the 2008 Beijing Games.

Here is Craig's medal and his certificates. He will always be an Olympian
