The Brain.

They have written facts about the brain and put them in the pockets of the interactive wall.

If you press the green dot underneath you'll get the answer.

Down the Back of the Chair

"Down the back of the chair" is a book by NZ author Margaret Mahey.

Room 5 read it last week and have made beautiful pictures with stories about what the might find down the back their own chairs.

Take the time to read them as they have very creative ideas.

In the cabinet this week we have her Friends collection.

Her favourite is the hospital .

Ella in Room 13 has on display some crystals and gems. 

She has found books from our library to add to her display.

Kate loves Star Wars because of all the robots and different characters.

She has watched all the movies and loves to collect the figures.

There is a large box of Star Wars books on top of the display cabinet for you to take out.

Book of the Week

Ako Iti's Production was awesome!

This book was made and donated to the school by a parent.

It has all the countries and great things you made for the production in it.

Lots of Ako Nui children are keen to see it.

Many have found their younger brother or sister in it.

First Day of Spring

September 1st is the First day of Spring in New Zealand.

Even the trees on the wall in The Learning Hub have blossom on them.

Room 3 and Room 8 have drawn some beautiful Spring flowers

Christian from Room 21 has an awesome collection of cars in the glass display cabinet.

Pirates

There's a Pirate Ship in The Learning Hub!

Check out Gawie's Lego ship.

He's a great ship builder.

Gawie has taken the top level off the ship including the mast so you can see inside.

Room 8 have made a HUGE postcard for their part of the Ako Iti production.

LOTS of time has been spent designing and painting the card ready for the"Ako Iti production."

Hibiscus

Room 9 have made the lovely Hibiscus flowers displayed on  the art wall this week.

They have beautiful colours and if you blow on them they move!

Room 1

Room 1 had a wonderful time researching their topic country England.

They were able to be part of the Ako Iti production wearing these t-shirts. 

They looked awesome!

Harry Potter

They are a series of children's fantasy books.They are world famous for capturing children's imaginations that makes you just want to keep reading them!

Alexandra's display shows she loves this series.She even has the movies and a wand!

Lucy has done a very big project on Tigers.
